Are you a passionate swimmer and swim teacher? Are you looking for a unique year-round opportunity to teach children and adults swim skills and techniques in a small group setting?

As a member of the Abilities United's Betty Wright Aquatic Services team, you will provide evidence-based health and wellness programming throughout the continuum of services, for all abilities, ages and stages of life.

You will teach swimming lessons combined with water safety according to a lesson plan and utilize positive reinforcement and encouragement with each student. You will develop and review session plans to fit each level, station and one-on-one classes. You will also utilize your daily notes of student progress, assessments, parent interviews and observation to determine individual goals and objectives. 

Education:       High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:     1+ years of swim instructor experience required; 1 + years fitness, recreation or rehabilitation expertise preferred.  Experience working with people with disabilities and in a formal classroom setting desired

Certification:   American Red Cross CPR for the professional rescuer certification

Must communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing; project a professional & positive image at all times.
