JOB TITLE:     Human Resources Program Manager

      JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the VP Human Resources, the HR Program Manager provides HR support to the agency.  The position is focused on owning, designing, documenting and delivering sound Human Resources processes and procedures. Participates in all aspects of Human Resources responsibilities. In addition, this position manages all aspects of the Volunteer Program.

 Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage full cycle recruitment process for all open positions
  • Manage all aspect of the Volunteer Program. Recruit, train and develop a strong team of volunteers throughout the agency; coordinate placements into programs
  • Handle Employee Relations responsibilities such as termination processing and leave of absence administration
  • Assist VP Human Resources on performance management process
  • Maintain and develop Human Resource Information Systems. Prepare reports and maintain agency statistics.
  • Handle all aspect of Workers' Compensation claims and reporting
  • Manage Benefits Administration which incldue liaison with benefit broker, open enrollment coordination and assisting employees with benefit plans and enrollment.
  • Partner with training administrator on Training and Development. Conduct new hire orientation and training.


 Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field preferred

  Previous Experience: 

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in supporting the HR function with an emphasis in the areas of Recruitment; HR data systems; processing employee transactions through data entry; tracking and reporting metrics
  • Technical skills with Social Media, Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point required
  • Experience with HR/Payroll systems; Paychex preferred
  • Experience working with employees at various levels in an organization
  • Experience working with volunteers highly desirable
  • PHR/SPHR or similar certification preferred
